This was admittedly my third time going down the rabbit hole looking for a brush that wouldn't scare him. The first time I grabbed something cheap off Amazon, the Hertzko slicker brush. Good reviews, seemed fine. Tibbens would just go completely still the second I started, waiting for his chance to bolt. I figured that was just how cats were with brushes. Then a friend told me to try the FURminator, everyone swears by it, it's $40 plus shipping, supposed to be the best thing for cat coats. Same thing. He would freeze up and endure it until he couldn't anymore. The dry bristles against his skin with nothing to soothe him, it just wasn't something a nervous rescue could relax into. It did nothing for actually cleaning him either. So there I was, third time scrolling, not even that hopeful. I wasn't even looking for something that could bathe him completely, I just wanted something he didn't have to brace himself for. That's when I saw the PurePaw. The mist feature caught my eye and admittedly that was what made me click to learn more about it. I figured it was different enough to try and I really didn't expect much.
